Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a cryptocurrency created as a result of the Bitcoin hard fork in 2017. It was developed to solve one of the main problems of the original Bitcoin — limited network bandwidth and high transaction fees. The creators of Bitcoin Cash were groups of developers and Bitcoin supporters who did not agree with the vision of improvements proposed for the original blockchain. Among the key developers and supporters, names such as Roger Ver and Amory Seshet stand out, who advocated increasing the block size as a way to improve throughput.

The main difference between Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin is the block size. While blocks on the Bitcoin network are limited to 1 MB, Bitcoin Cash blocks were initially increased to 8 MB, and then to 32 MB, which allows you to process more transactions and makes payments faster and cheaper. This innovation makes Bitcoin Cash more suitable for use as a daily means of payment, unlike Bitcoin, which is often viewed as a digital "store of value".

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) also supports smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps), which adds functionality to it. In addition to this, the Bitcoin Cash network has evolved by accepting periodic updates that increase its security and performance.
